I want to make one thing clear in this blog post, as stated in the video: These are my Top 5 Treatments for Anxiety because they work for me! There are millions of things you can do to treat your anxiety that can range from a new diet, exercises and sleeping habits. The way we treat anxiety is different for everyone who experiences these nasty symptoms. What's important is that we realize how many options are out there and how accessible they are!
Don't forget to keep the promise you made at the beginning of the video. You have to try each of these things and not give up if they do not work. It goes without saying that if you are not going to ever take medication, don't do it just for the heck of it because you made a promise to Scott. What I mean is that for the meditation and things you can basically do for free, stick with them for the long haul. Everything is difficult before it is easy but this should not discourage you from creating new rituals.
Anxiety will continue to be a pain in the ass for you if you're not willing to try new things and get out of your comfort zone. Practicing yoga may mean you get up earlier during the week. Seeing a psychologist may mean that you experience way more anxiety than normal during your first session. Sometimes there is a cost to mental health but let's not quit before we even start.
